Books. All of my recommenders received a book that I thought they would enjoy.One of the advanatages to actually getting to know your professors is it makes buying thank-you gifts much easier.Here are the novels I selected, in case any of you are looking for ideas:-Blood Meridian, by Cormac McCarthy-You Must Remember This, by Joyce Carol Oates-Perfume, by Partrick Suskind All highly recommended...Oh, and Anna Ivey's a walking cliché.
For the record, I am a man, and I love quality chocolate, and would be more excited about it than another book to add to the millions I have, and no time in which to read it. There are assortments and ways to give it that are professional, not romantic. Maybe check some of the manufacturer's websites and order online-easy. Scharffen-Berger and Ghirardelli come to mind. Seems like an easy, inexpensive, popular gift to me.
