Impact of an "incomplete"
« on: August 20, 2007, 06:59:27 PM »
How much do you think submitting my UG grades to LSAC with an "Incomplete" still on my transcript will affect schools' views of me?

The I is in my Honors thesis which I stupidly attempted to take on during a busy final semester this past spring, and I've been working on it over the summer, but now it's hard to split my time between the thesis and studying for the upcoming LSAT and I don't think I'll have the Incomplete changed over to a letter grade for at least a couple months, and I would like to get transcript submission process rolling earlier than that.

I know the LSAC doesn't factor in an I if your school considers it nonpunitive (as mine does - the I doesn't count towards your GPA, but if you don't get it fixed within a year it changes over to an F).  What I'm wondering is whether admissions folk will take a look at it and think awful things about me.   :'(

I don't think it'd matter much. Include an addendum if you're worried about it.
