I Googled myself and got lots of references to doctors, lawyers and accountants.

I also got an obituary. Creepy.

Not all of us have common names, common majors, common work experience, etc.   ;)

My name isn't common, but if you Google me you get an Econ. professor, a shepherd...

Just because your name isn't common, doesn't mean that the result on Google is you.

Besides, they don't have the time to Google you. There is a lot of info out there, and they can barely handle the stuff that comes on your application.  If they do Google you, it is because they want to fact-check your application. So, basically if you look TOO good, they might look into it.

EDIT: The correct spelling is C-O-N-C-E-I-T-E-D.

Sorry, that sounded a bit conceited.

It turns out I'm already working at Skadden Arps, makes me wonder why I'm bothering to go to law school...

There's also a page really about me on the front page and I feel like I have a fairly common name, that made me really happy for some reason.

I certainly hope so.

Most of the stuff that comes up is actually about me. Cool!

Why did you quit playing tennis to become a morbidly obese Canadian?  Ah, I know, the free Canadian Healthcare!

If they googled me... all they'd get would be chemistry research, that i gave to my senior class, and all my high school track records that are apparently archived by Hi-TEK and mysportsresults.com.

I guess I'm the only one with my name on the internet. however you only get like 10 site hits... 7 are high school track.
