Does anyone have any suggestions for a affordable but reliable laptop. I'm starting at BLS and they recommend a think pad and the price range is $1200 and up I willing to dish out the cash but if I could find something that will do the job for a cheaper price why not save the money? Any suggestions are welcomed.

Use a pen.  It is cheaper.  It won't crash during an exam causing you to fail.

Thinkpads are great.

At Cooley you won't even need to think about Westlaw until week 10 of third term. 

There are computers on the third floor in the library.
