Buy the casebooks, those will be used.  Any other book, wait until class starts.

I canít believe that you already got your assigned classes and homework.  Do most school have already started providing this information? My school must be extra slow.

I already got a reading assignment but its only from ONE book. Therefore, I don't know if I should hold off on buying the other 9 books

In what class do you have multiple books and how many? But generally use your head, casebook yes, UCC or R2d you might want to see.

if you ultimately decide to purchase your books at the bookstore, make sure you get there as soon as possible.  your bookstore will likely has used copies of your required texts and those can save you a lot of money.  since everybody wants them you'll have to get there fast before they're all sold out!

You can buy used books online, that would be the advantage of buying at least your casebooks, which you know you will use early.  Plus online you save a lot more buying used than at the bookstore thats usually only discounts 25% or so.  Just type in the ISBN of the book you need when shopping online to make sure you are shopping for the correct edition.

It varies a lot.  Some are sending that information out, others will do it later, and others, like mine, don't let you know until orientation what classes you're in and what books you need.
