I'd say you're probably in at G-town, Duke and Vandy. I've got very close numbers and if you look at lawschoolnumbers.com, not too many people get dinged in that range. You're probably out at Chicago and out or WL at Penn.

Strong desire to return to Ohio?  You could do better on safeties, but I'm assuming the regional selections are intentional.

Yes, outside of top 20 schools I would prefer to stay in Ohio.

You should definitely apply to any of the T14 you want to attend.  Yeah, YSH are long shots and most likely a waste of money, but you have a decent shot at most of the others.  Why not?  They can't say yes if you don't apply.

I would apply to a few additional top schools if I were you.  Your numbers are not unrealistic for Columbia, NYU, Boalt.  Certainly, you should add UMich, especially if you are interested in staying in the Midwest.

Look at this way: you've got a small chance at Chicago/Penn, adding more schools like that ony increases that chance.

The applications are not that different from each other, and I think it's worth the extra time.  If money is an issue, then that's a different story.  Even then, however, I would strongly consider adding UMich.

Does UMich even accept OSU undergrads?  ;)

Thanks for the advice guys, I will definitely look into applying to some more schools.  It looks like I might have to swallow my Buckeye pride and apply to Michigan too, haha.

Friend of mine (168/3.79 from yale) got WL'd at HLS and was in at NYU. Ended up choosing GULC, but there you have it.

Saw dashrashi's LSN site. Since she seems to use profanity, one could say that HYP does not necessarily mean class or refinement.
