Decision time
« on: July 07, 2007, 12:46:59 PM »
Just offered full ride from Mcgeorge, was going to take a year off and to apply to better schools.  McG was the only one still accepting apps when I applied.  Any advice or knowledge about McG would be greatly appreciated- I have to decide by Monday.  3.6 GPA 165 Lsat (thinking about retake).  Thanks

Unless you are committed to working in the Sacramento area I wouldn't take McGeorge with those stats.  If you want to work in state government or hope to move to San Fran to work public interest I guess it could be a decent idea, but if you want to be in private practice anywhere but NorCal (where you will have to compete with two T14s and two T1s in the area) you should probably wait.  Re take if you are sure you can improve, but those stats will get you into Hastings and Davis plus several top 30 schools.
