To Everyone Who Did Better than 150 on the June LSAT....
« on: July 03, 2007, 12:04:20 AM »
Congratulations!  You did better than most of the testakers on one of the most difficult standardized exams in existence.  This is despite the fact the testing pool is made up almost completely of people who have completed (or are completing) a four-year degree, and are probably more ambitious and accomplished than most such students.

Keep in mind that most people never even get a four-year degree in the first place.

So even if you didn't hit your practice average, and decide to retake, don't be overly bummed by your performance -- keep it in objective perspective.

My feelings of self-doubt and self-loathing are much more in-sync with my plans to mope about for several weeks in disappointment.

Sync that up with a bottle of tequila for one night and it will all be wiped out of your memory and you can move on.  Just make sure to drink a lot of water too once you finish the bottle.

Ehh....just be sure not to drink too much and get pulled over, followed by calling a cop Sugar T*ts a la Mel Gibson ;)

My mother always said, "Never compare yourself with those below you, only with those above you."

Not a prestigious thread.

The appropriateness of Perpetua would probably depend on the tone of the writing.  When I used it, I (half playfully) thought the extra space made the words sort of resonate.

That's a terrible philosophy.  Your mother should be shot.   :(

Yes, it is.  You're just too unprestigious to realize it.   :-*
