How long should a LOR be? I just got one back that is a couple of paragraphs long>

Anna Ivey stated that a good LOR should be at least 500 words long, which is about 2 pages double spaced.

Little less than a page single spaced in 12 font is about adequate

Hey Fellow Cougar,

An LOR with only a few paragraphs of information might be cause for concern.  Damning with faint praise if you know what I mean.  The LOR will definitely will hold some weight, however, if it's from a BYU professor.  They're some of the best in their respective fields.
