I went national on the premise that BLZ needed to make the plunge into national now or never. Advertising dollars have a higher marginal gain when there is less competition tying up those advertising lines. Also, price competition would have caught up with BLZ in the long run and they would have been driven out of business eventually anyway with the regional plan...(this is the Wal-Mart theory...you've seen the South Park episode right?) The National Plan has a higher propensity to keep BLZ around forever as opposed to the regional plan...which only ensures their existence in the short run relative to the national plan.....there's a national argument. Also, I figured everyone else would go regional and wanted to do something different.
