T2 NY schools - St. Johns, Cardozo...
I'm estimating it will be around $150,000

No.  Full-price outside T14 should be limited to schools with SIGNIFICANT name recognition in an area you want to stay.

Think Hastings, BC, BU, in the first tier.  Maybe something like Denver in the second tier.

Or UF.  Gotta give a little UF love.

No, I sell houses aorund $200k to people who make less than 40/yr and they have no where near the return on investment (asset appreciation) that a JD does.  Even if you job sucks in the begining you will always have the potential to break 6 figures.

Thanks for the thoughts.  I've been mulling over money issues a lot.  OK, obsessivly mulling.

Thank god for state schools - what would public interest people do?!
