Budget (and the couple's likelihood to stay within budget or throw it to the wind)
Complexity of the wedding
Personality of the couple

It doesn't have to be hard- but it can be horrible and stressful if you don't have the right attitude about it.

How many of the parents are outgoing and/or in a profession that depends on networking?
Is the couple's relationship based on how similar they are or "opposites attract?"
How long is the planning period?
How far is the planned location of the wedding from the residence of the couple?
How far are all the parents from the residence of the couple?
How high-strung is the bride?

I refer to all women as "girls."  I think they like that.

It depends on the personality of the girl.
In reality, it's not hard at all. You pick out what you want- get it all together- have a great day and make sure everyone gets paid and gets thank you cards.
But if the girl has it in her head that everything has to  perfect, then just get your divorce papers ready  right now because she has unrealistic expectations about everything probably.

It really isn't that difficult, or it shouldn't be.  Your wife-to-be and her mother are going to make it difficult, though, if they are anything like mine.

One of my girlfriends got married a few months ago and she said it wasn't that hard if you give yourself enough time. I think it would be stressful if you had a small budget and a big guest list.
