there isn't a next deposit date - however, the date for a partial deposit refund was june 15th and that was last week.

personally, i think the only way that some spots will open up in penn's class of 2010 is if harvard goes to its WL again, and continues to pull from our class.

Just read on LSN that Penn is mailing letters that say "their incoming class is full and they aren't considering anyone else on the waitlist."

They'll still keep a few of us right??

Someone's page who recently updated to "waitlist,rejected" for penn ....they were asked how the news came and that was their response

I'm thinking they still have to keep some sort of waitlist (even if it's very very small) incase Harvard calls/someone asks to defer... So yes, I still see a tiny glimmer of hope. No news would be good news at this point.

the deadline to defer is July 1, so if a few people defer, you might hear back around July 5th-ish

i THOUGHT that no news was good news....until I just called them and they said that they are MAILING out decisions.

sounds to me like they are calling admits, and mailing rejections.

and they told me that my 'decision' was mailed a few days ago.

guess thats it for me.

I've been waiting to hear from them since February( I was waitlisted then) and finally called today.

Guess what they told me?

They told me "I" withdrew my application, which I never did.

i've sent an additional letter of rec and a continued interest letter.

what to do now? they told me to call back in an hour..

wow.  that REALLLLY blows i'm so sorry to hear that.

i'm pretty f-ing sick of penn right now.  Yes, it's my dream school.  yes, I woulda dropped everything to go there.

but they reallllly treat their applicants like *&^%...or atleast the applicants theyre not sure they want.  I mean the lady on the phone is telling me that theyre 'definitely' still taking people off the waitlist all summer most likely, yet people are receiving letters saying the class is full?  i mean wtf.

they're sending out emails to the people who are still on the waitlist. the email said the class is full and they might call people for "phone interviews" but only if spaces open up because people make other plans or defer their admission. the email also said that some people were rejected from the waitlist.
