Congrats on being done and decided and ready to go!  When are you quitting your job, and have you told them you're off to LS yet?

yeah I am pretty fortunate that my employer has actually been really supportive of me. I told them when I came on that I would be leaving if I got into a good law school, and they were all nice and have been asking about for news since applications started. The day I heard from Cornell I told them and they threw a little congratulations party for me - it's a small company so the people tend to be more involved in my business.  Since I need the $$$ I am staying until the 31st of July, going to Napa the following weekend, and hitting the road for a cross-country drive on August 10th.

good for you man, it feels good to get paid! I read somewhere (I think on consumerist.org) that the "two week notice" rule is generally speaking just a load of crap anyway. Employers are too concerned with being sued over libel to make any negative comments regarding their former employees.

Way random, but I drove cross crountry to Ithaca one summer (Cornell 2006) and had a wonderful time.  If you are in Santa Fe you should stop at Pasquals (so good I ate there twice) and if you are in Memphis eat at Corky's (has turned into a bit of a chain but the BBQ and key lime pie are to die for).  Oh, and there are some pretty cool caves in Cave City Kentucky.

Enjoy Ithaca/Cornell (where there is also some awesome food)!

Ah congrats! That's really amazing! You should choose Penn.  Better weather maybe? No I'm jk. But I'm glad you got into Penn.
