PENN LAW WAITLIST

I saw a post earlier saying that Penn will be calling within the next 10 days to give out status updates (the post was on June 5).

I called the admissions office 2 days ago to check this. They said no phone calls would be made, but emails will be sent out within the next week or two saying denial, acceptance, or staying on the wait list.

would everyone else drop everything to go to penn? just curious.

I might.

I took a red-eye to Philly a day before my finals started just to have an official visit with the school and drop off a LOCI. I told them I'd take an offer at zero hour, even three days into the school year.

But that offer seems less and less realistic as the days go on.

i'm in the same boat as you, marina--going to cornell at this point...i haven't gotten an apartment yet, so at this point i would definitely go to penn...but i don't know how late in the summer that would be feasible.

hell yes.  drop what, the week I've spent thinking about DC and the $250 deposit I've sent them ? a month from now, drop the extra $400 I'll spend on a housing deposit?  in a heartbeat.

I had been on hold until last week when Ms Post asked me to call her.  I have been admitted to the Class of 2011 (a one-year deferment, starting in Aug 2008).  It works out perfect for me, as I am still working project overseas with my firm.  Anyway, I never post to these sort of things but wanted to offer a glimmer of hope.  I am in at PENN and am so excited about it.  Live in the DC area and work full-time as a defense contractor.  Good luck guys.
