The Macallan (12 year +) straight up.  Slainte!

I won't speak ill of The Macallan. However, I'm currently favoring Lagavulin.

Speyside spice and toffee works best for me; though I agree, speak no ill of any island single malt!

Oban, anyone?

Yes please.

Where does the name dive bar come from anyway? I get the concept, that it's sort of a cheap, local bar where students can get hammered for an affordable price, but what does diving have to do with it?
I always thought that it was as in dive to the lowest possible place. Bottom of the barrel.

It doesn't fully make sense - but I thought it just meant a basement bar - as in you walk down steps to get in to.

They won't even let you take the LSAT with that answer.

Why wasn't moonshine an option?  Everyone knows, and yet can't prove, that lawyers are the keepers of the moonshine secret in the basements of those massive firm buildings.

I think the most classy shot would have to go to the "three wisemen"!!! It would be especially pleasent if you are an inexperienced drinker.

I thought it was called "dive bar" because it is frequented by people in a dive (as in spiraling downward in life).  I really think the nature of the clientele is key here.

FIVE-STAR GENERAL FTW!!!

wtf is in a so-called five-star general, AND have you ever had one?

the one on a webtender isn't the same as the one I had in seattle, which was:

1. jack (daniels)
2. johnnie (walker)
3. jose (cuervo)
4. jim (beam)
5. john (jameson)

(1 shot each)

I understood the 4 whiskeys (somewhat), but then it seems they ran out of different whiskeys and just added some tequila.

Why screw up 3, 4, or even 5 perfectly good independent drinks?
