Biscuit and I share a similar approach to alcohol:  out of respect for my old man and the way he lives his life, I go through a six pack of the cheapest canned domestic beer I can find every Saturday.

I honestly have never tried any or any other form of alcohol.  (obviously excluding mouthwash, cough syrup, vanilla extract, etc.)

no interest? Religion? or both?

Strange combo meal.  Partly its a personal religion/moral thing.  I don't know that it is flatly prohibited by religion.  Partly its out of a fear of being out of control and the knowledge of an alcoholic or two in the family.  Largely it is out of respect to my old man.  I think very highly of him and generally strive to live up to the example he set.

HAHA.. Awesome!

That's very noble...not that you needed my approval

I know I'm not suppose to post in this thread, but I will anyway.  I like beer, even bad beer.  Tonight I drank a 4 pack of 16 oz cans of Miller High Life, considered by some to be the "champagne of beers."  Anyway, it was sweet, as were the assorted drinks that I don't remember afterwards.  I had a coherent yet questionable conversation with the girl of my dreams, which I believe the champagne affected positively.  Would have been a crash and burn without it.  So, overall, beer is good and helps me in social situations.  Good night.

You gotta do right by the old man!!

Ya know, before I knew anything about alcohol, I alwasy figured my dad was an adult who drank beer like I drink Coke and never thought that he might spend pretty much all day every Saturday of his life in a constant state of buzz.  Now I know that its amazing he's yet to chop off a finger working in the shop...

I love beer.
I married a girl who is half german and we go visit her family in Germany. Her grandfather is a brewmaster at a bavarian brewery. Ahhhh Heaven. It is so funny though in Deutchland beer is so celebrated even little kids drink it it's called cola-wiessen. We americans are such prudes. Oh no don't drink beer it's so bad you will go to hell. Well I tell you what I drink warm beer in Germany so if that's all they are serving in hell tell satan to open a bar tab for me!

I hate beer. I can't stand it when I'll go  to a house party and that's all they have.

I hate beer too!  Yuck!  I did get semi-used to it my first year in college, though, when it was all that was available (and it was the really gross cheap stuff, too...beast :P)

I don't do beer.  That's why I always keep a stash of my own; if a party has nothing else, I'll go back and get a flask.

When I was in college I was underage and the liquor stores were all state-owned and closed really early, so I never had a stash.

The only thing worse than going to a house party and there only being beer is finding out that they have cats since I'm brutally allergic.
