Need people's opinions...

I recently got a scholarship to a school that accepted me.  I was wondering if it would be a good idea to convey that information to the schools that wait listed me.  I have never heard of this being done before, so I have no idea whether or not it is a good idea (that's where all of you intelligent people come in).  Let me know what you think.  Don't bother?  Mention it in an LOCI?  Send them a copy of the letter?
