I do think that in the field of IP, the specialty rankings might have some worth.

If you do a nalp search of how many firms with practice areas in IP and patent law OCI on USD and Santa Claras campuses then you notice the difference.

USD = 40 firms at OCI with IP/Patent practices.

Santa Clara = 55 firms at OCI with IP/Patent practices.

SC doesn't blow USD away in this respect... But I still think USD is the better choice.

And as my fiancee put it.. USD's logo looks better on a sweatshirt..lol!  ;D

You also may attribute the higher number of IP firms OCI at SCU to its location in Silicon Valley.
