no one has been able to adequately explain why cornell has had the least amount of waitlist movement among like all schools.

They sent all students who submitted deposits a letter about a week ago asking us to confirm our intentions to enroll becuase the class was currently full and they had people on the WL.

Doesn't sound too promising.  Did they give a deadline for when you need to notify them about staying enrolled?  Thanks.

Nope, no deadline, I don't think its even mandatory for us, just a courtesy to the admit staff.

I am probably withdrawing soon, so there may be one more spot.

Ditching Cornell? Where are you going instead?

I suffer from Californian's curse. I will miss you all. :( USC.

Must be that Cornell is settling down to an acceptable class number and the recent withdrawals are helping them get to be where they need to be..

I hear ya.  I'm getting pretty anxious/annoyed myself.  Why must all things Cornell move so slowly!

The class is really full and unless there is an extraoridinary number of withdrawals in the next few weeks, they will not draw from the waitlist.

I'm disappointed obviously but I agree. I just booked my air to start elsewhere and there is the relief I don't have to break a lease.
