Arts Academic??

I have 2 recs in (one from a prof, one form my boss), but I just found out that Brooklyn needs to have at least 2 academic recs.  So now my scramble begins again.  Anyone who read my thread a month ago knew my troubles in finding one professor to remember me and say good things.  Finding another is going to be difficult.  My question is, do you think a music professor (nay, a former music professor and chair of the department, who is now a Dean at another school) will be academic enough?

sure.  It's not academic in the traditional sense, in that you probably didn't write papers for him.  That being said, he presumably taught you something, and you hopefully learned something, so that student-teacher/professor relationship I think can be categorized as "academic"
