Neither stumbled. McCain was the stumbler. Giuliani was just Giuliani...

"stumbled" was probably the wrong choice of words. i guess i thought everyone would know what i meant. basically: he wasn't a strong, confident speaker.
apparently a lot of people disagree with me about how romney did, though -- since i posted the first time, i keep hearing that romney 'won' the debate. says a lot about what the american public is looking for.

I liked Huckabee the best.  I wish he was considered a legitimate condender.  I really like the idea of a president supporting the fair tax.  Of the three biggest contenders, I suprisingly liked Romney the best. 

Oh, and Ron Paul was a joke.  I can't believe he's from Texas...

I liked Huckabee too.  I think Paul is for the Fair Tax as well though. 

I stopped listening to Paul pretty early in the debate.

Oh I would never vote for him myself. I'm a left leaning independant (who voted straight Democrat in '04 but whatever).

I just look at the *top three* candiates in the race and think Republicans are screwed.

F that. The Republican party has a strong libertarian movement within it -- I'd like to see the party move in that direction and away from the "social conservative."

Hillary scares me though. I Really wanted to vote 3rd Party, but I'm horribly afraid of what she'd do to this country.

Hillary is a non-starter in the general. If the dems were smart they would nominate an Obama/Richardson ticket or Vice-versa. Talk about complementary.

Also, Brownback is taking a tack that seems smart, but will alienate everybody: a staunch social conservative who is for immediate withdrawl from Iraq? It will bump his lecture fees with the pro-all-life conservatives, but he can't win.

I like Hillary's stance on most of the issues, but I'm nervous about the whole Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton thing.

I was about ready to buy myself a Richardson bumper sticker, but then I saw his performance in the debate....
