What does the category "Other" actually mean as opposed to "Academic" in terms of attrition?

What does the category "Other" actually mean as opposed to "Academic" in terms of attrition?

Academic means they failed out while other could just be dropped out or transferred.

Academic means they failed out while other could just be dropped out or transferred.

Number of people transferring out is not included in the number of attrition for "Other" reasons.  Those two are totally separate.  If you look at lsac data, you will notice how some schools have higher number of people transferring out than the attrition number of students under "Other" category.
