Why is Santa Clara ranked so low in T2. I want to specilize in IP and their high tech specialization looks awesome. I wouldnt mind practicing in the silicon valley either. Is there anything i should be cautious about with Santa Clara?

No, I don't think so; it's a great school in the area.  A "friend of a friend" came out of Santa Clara with a BigLaw offer, making $125K.  But I think she was near the top 10% or so of her class.

1st there is not much difference between top of 2nd tier and bottom.

2nd Santa Clara is a good school with a solid rep in the Bay Area.  The only problem is that u compete for jobs in the Bay Area with Stanford, Cal Berk, Hastings, Davis, and USF.  Go to the best school u can and worry about specialty as a after thought.
