Waitlisted 2/22...blah!  I decided to reserve my spot on it, but...logically speaking I don't know how it's going to work.  I plan on moving to my law school's new city (wherever that will be) June 1st, getting a job and settling in.  If I don't hear back from American until too late, how will I do that (and I can't foressee myself packing up in on new city and moving again).  *sigh*

Why do you have to move so early?  Why not aim for August 1st instead?

I agree. Can you wait a bit longer than June 1, Arich?

Technically, yes, I can wait; however, my plan for the summer is to go ahead and move to my new city and get a summer job for various reasons.  1-I've never moved to a new city before and have never had to adapt...I want to start law school already knowing my way around the city, with my apartment completely set up, etc.  2-My "moving help" AKA my family can only help me move at the beginning of the summer.  If I wait too much longer, I'll be going it alone (and that's not easy when your 1500 miles from home) 3-I've got to get out of my living arrangements now...a summer without school and a job (once I graduate here I lose my student job), and my crazy roommate and her even crazier boyfriend...negative. and 4-my boyfriend of 5 years is leaving for Germany a week after we graduate.  I need something new and exciting such as moving to a new place, etc to take my mind off of moping.

But you're both def. right, this decision (and it was a hard one to make), def. strains any potential waitlist options; however, if I really wanted it and they really accepted me, hell, I'd make it work, not matter how much of a hassel :)

Received my waitlist letter last week. Was a bit surprised, was expecting an admit with no money. Most likely will withdrawal soon.

WL 02-18.  Not counting on getting off WL.  Will be sending LOCI's soon but historically it doesn't look that promising unless you are willing to go PT.  Good luck to all though!

waitlisted, got the letter this friday, 161 (158) and a 3.6, so I was hoping for an admit.  After looking at LSN it looks like the average #s for acceptance and waitlist are almost identical, and looking at last year's LSN, only one person was WL, Acc, I can't imagine this being accurate, what do you think?

I also need to figure out where I'm gonna be before the summer, goin to the Middle East June - Aug so need to take care of moving arrangements before then.

Anyone have any idea how many ppl get off the WL?
