do u guys think everyone getting a phone call is basically an "admit" and theyre just making them wait for bureaucratic reason? that seems pretty stinky for those in waiting..

I doubt that. If I recall correctly, there were many people on LSN who got the phone call but were not offered admission.

yeah that's what i mean...what's the point of calling and only asking for a verbal commitment if they won't admit you? i would think that if they were trying to narrow down via phone call, they would ask more information...rather than just a "will you come if offered admission?" no?

I sent mine in when I got deferred, and I sent a note in with my WL acceptance form that said I'd send them an updated resume after I got my final grades.

On another note, I re-read the sheet that has the information about the waitlist on it.  I have never seen so many words used to pass along so little information.  I can't wait to be a Harvard lawyer!

"What are my chances on the waitlist?" -> your chances are a function of lots of factors, and when those factors all come together they make up "your chances".  Since those factors always change though, we can't give you any of the neccessary information to help you find out what your chances really are, even though most of the factors we have listed as important are pieces of information which we have ready access to and have kept track of for years.
