If you go to HLS you can flash your genitals and tout that you go to Harvard Law when you get arrested like this DB:

sounds pretty typical

na nanan na I go to harvard... see you in court.

he'll lose

Thank you for the idea.  I have now decided that HLS is the only place for me.  I and my genitals will hopefully see you there next year.

The proof is clearly in the pudding.

Or the junk, as the case may be.

I hate to drag up a thread that's well and done, but some people asked to know my decision, so...

It's Harvard!

I talked with Harvard's admissions office and financial aid office, and they helped persuade me. I talked with several current lawyers who all gave me lots of advice, one in particular who faced my exact same decision. And I found my gut.

Everyone kept telling me to trust my gut, but since I kept wavering I couldn't really tell what my gut was saying. Ironically, it was from reading a few posts on this thread saying "you seem to want to go to Penn, so you should just go there," that I realized my gut was telling me Harvard. These posts made me indignant..."How could they think I liked Penn better when I feel like I like Harvard better??"---> followed by the realization that I actually did like Harvard better.

There are numerous reasons, and if you care that much you can ask, but all that matters is that I know the reasons I'm going there.

Flame on, xoxo lurkers, flame on.

Thanks everyone, even the xoxoers, for your opinions and advice.

P.S. I did actually make my mom flip a coin for me.  :D

You don't even need a reason man. If it feels right, it is right. Congratulations on your decision :)

P.S.  What was the result of the coin flip?

Harvard. But that was the day that I was really leaning towards Penn, go figure.  ;)

After that day though, instead of wavering back and forth every other day I kept having pro-Harvard days. It was a sign.

congrats! i'm sorry to lose  you to harvard, but hey if you like it better, go for it. and honestly, penn ain't no harvard. simple as that, it's a great, incredible law school, but....not a harvard.

Congrats on your decision!  I was one of the ones who said go to Penn, but that was contingent on your not liking Harvard too much.  I stand corrected and I'm sure you'll love it there!
