University of Miami, with average starting salary of 95k

University of Florida, with an average starting salary of 70k

UF is ranked 47, UM 70.  To a certain extent I am a ratings whore.

UM only has 30 some percent of its graduates respond with their earnings.  This cannot possibly represent an accurate figure of what averae grads make.

Nope.  Im going to withdraw from UF soon.  I visited and i came to the realization that i wanted to go to an urban school in the northeast.  And i want to make a lot of money.

That's one way to narrow it down.  I want to make the dollas too, but I attribute this to a fear of all things ghetto.  I am so GD sick of being poor.

UM. No, UF. Probably would be best to answer, "where do you want to live for the next three years and which school's culture is more attractive?" If you have visited both, then you will know what I mean. They are very different.

Also, UM is just a little more expensive, no? Anyways, they are both good schools.

The sports culture at UF does scare me, but then again, I did just put a bug shield on my truck.

UM's median salary is inflated since they have a low reporting rate, so don't base it on that.

However, job oppurtunities (in terms of how much money you will make) are better from UM. They are in South Florida, which is the eight largest legal market, and has a good amount of BigLaw. Plus, they are top dog in SoFl. UF might be ranked higher, but UM grads are considered the smarter ones in South Florida. If you want to live in South Florida or try to take your degree out of Florida (UM places pretty well in the Tri-State area), then go to UM. If not, go to UF.
