some of us are definitely deferring for a year, so we could pointlessly stay on the waitlist or not pointlessly stay on the waitlist. catfish?
Wouldn't it be better just to reapply next cycle rather than stay on the waitlist for as long as possible?
A) Stay on WL and get accepted, then defer enrollment: automatically enroll next year without having to deal with the hassle of reapplying.
B) Withdrawing now: Having to fill out application and pay fee again, maybe having to write new PS, must update resume and LORs to stay competitive... not to mention the risk of not getting accepted at all next year.
