Nationality question??

I am half Italian and half Armenian. I’m wondering if I should put Armenian on my application. Most of my life I have put white male, but if it helps why not???

Did you put Armenian on your LSAT when and if you took it? If you did not, I would think it would be a little odd to see you claiming two different things. Schools might get a little up in arms about you being white male for LSAT registration but Armenian male for their application. If you did not put white male on the LSAT, I can not see it hurting, every little bit helps right?

I havn't takin the LSAT yet. I am taking it in Oct 2

Put it on both and you're golden.  I don't know if it'll help, but it certainly looks more interesting than "white male".

So when I go take the LSAT they will ask for my nationality?? Because when I signed up for the LSAT test on-line they havn't ask me for anything except my name.

Yeah, you have to check a box.  I don't think Armenian will be an option, but "other" should be, and as I recall you can fill in the blank... not sure about that, though.

It’s kind of weird that I am second generation American. My Dads side came from Italy and my moms from Armenia. I don’t know how to speak either language because, I was always told I am an American and we speak English. I feel like I lost some traditions from my back round, but now I will use my nationality because it will probably help me get into law school. Sometime I think the government is the ones who create these walls in our nationality and keeps us all divided up. Just my thoughts. I get off my soap box..

You've been putting "white male" most of you're life because that's what you are. In fact, you may be the most "Caucasian" guy on the boards. Don't check "other" and then write in "Armenian." It won't help, and it may make the adcomm think you are trying to pull a fast one.

louie might be right, but then again, who knows?  Consider the pluses, negatives, and weigh it all together.  Make up your own mind as to whether this is worth doing.
