Should we have received our student IDs yet? Where/when do we get those guys?

Those come at orientation, I think on the 30th.

Not enough money on the planet to get me to go to school or work in NYC.

Fly out in 10 hours.

So do other sections have this ban on laptops in class or is it only section 7?  So far, Torts, Civ. Pro, Contracts, and LRW have all banned use of laptops in class (well, LRW allows use for in-class assignments).  No word on Admin law yet, but this appears to be a general "rule" for section 7|

Pursuant to the Section 7 policy, we will not use laptops during lecture/discussion periods.  But you may use your laptop for in-class writing and research exercises.

Various professors in different sections will ban them.  There's little rhyme or reason to it.  I never used them in class and tend to find them distracting when used by others, so I've never had a problem with this, but some do.

H4CS - roughly about how many people in a given class use laptops v. paper?
