Mainly it was that I think the quality of education is pretty equal and Pittsburgh will end up being about $14,000 cheaper for me a year.  I also researched and think I like the international program at Pittsburgh a little better and the final thing was that I wanted a little better facilities than Villanova has at the current.  Those were the main things that caused me to change.

Too little, too late, ilovelaw. You're going to Pitt. UConn would be worse, but I'm still disappointed.

big least doesnt hold a candle to acc bball anyways, particularly at pitt

Yeah? What with your one good team?

Big East >>> ACC
SEC >>>>>>>> ACC

Don't worry though, the ACC is still better than most of the mid-majors though...

Final Fours is a meaningless stat. So you had a good team. Congrats. The Scottish Premier League has a good team (Glasgow Celtic)... and that is ALL they have, but hey, if they make it to the knockout stage of the Champions League every year, I guess the SPL must be the best league in Europe, right?

Quote
Teams currently in the Big East account for 40 all time Final Four appearances and 10 National Championships, numbers only surpassed by the Big Ten and Pac-10 respectively. 15 of the Big East's 16 teams (or 93%) have been to the Final Four, by far the most of any conference.

The Big East just has more QUALITY teams.

Quote
In the 2006 season the Big East got a record eight teams into the NCAA tournament. These teams were Syracuse, West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Marquette, UConn, Seton Hall, Villanova, and Georgetown.

How many teams did the ACC have that year?

RECENTLY (and 1997 was a great year but I was 13 then, so it was a long time ago), the Big East has had more quality teams -- demostrated by the NUMBER of teams selected for the NCAA tournament.

honestly the ACC should end the ACC-Big Ten "challenge" and start a ACC/BE to end this once and for all

You know what? I would love to see that. Especially after BC's switch to the ACC, I'd love to get some revenge-matches in there...

yeah august 1 seems to make the most sense, esp if you have to sign a lease.

but you could always sign a lease and then not move everything in until right before orientation if you had a job over the summer.
.
i still have to go back down  to look at all the R apt complexes though.

Does anyone know how late the trains run to and from philadelphia during the weekends? (Probably a good thing to know when I can actually go out, which I assume will be once in a blue moon). I'm not too excited about starting law school, gotta admit, my undergrad life at Maryland kinda spoiled me, but I'm sure I'm not the only one and I hear good things about VLS. Side note: Hey, ilovelaw, where bouts in Texas are you from? I am very familiar with Texas, love the place. Welcome to the North East, but I should tell you right now, nothing is better than the Lone Star State.
