When I responded to the e-mail on the 24th (that was so long ago!!) I mentioned my acceptance to UF and waitlists at UVa and Duke.  I didn't mention the W & M waitlist (I had already withdrawn).  Was it a mistake to tell them that similar schools hadn't let me in?

To jump in... I've asked before and in other threads.  Am I wasting my time because I'm on the pedestrian waitlist?  Is that first determination that important?  Is there any way to know from past years?

Someone that goes by RootHog posted an admit off the waitlist about an hour ago on LSN. He didn't post a decision date, but it appears he was waitlisted on 3/19.

Whoever this RootHog person is, he's a rockstar! He already got off 2 awesome WLs, Boalt and Gtown...wonder what he did to get off them.

that user describes himself as a non-trad LATE applicant with almost a 4.0 and a 172.

hence, I really think he's not in the same boat as us peons.

wasn't the first deposit due May 1?  looking at last year's wait list thread, it seems that middle of may is a good time to go with.  apparently 50 ppl get off the PWL, now has anyone ever gotten stats on how many are on it in the first place?

i'm on 5 WLs, and will go to the first one that takes me, gtown being the most likely.
