T = Top??? Quick question . . .

Bear with me because I'm new to all of this - - I'm sure it's a simple concept but can someone give me a quick explanation of the rankings?

I understand "Top 100" and Tier 3, Tier 4 but what do people mean when they refer to a T25 school, T14, T30??

Is it really as simple as a school in the Top 25, Top 14?

I can't find the search function on the board . . .

Yep, it's that simple.

http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/grad/rankings/law/brief/lawrank_brief.php - T14 are Yale through Georgetown, T25 is the T14 plus UCLA through W&L. T10 and T30 are also used sometimes, and the whole "first tier" thing typically means the top 50.

T can also mean third or tier or toilet. HTH.
