Hi Everybody,

Rumor has it that there is no air conditioning in Hughes Hall and that microwaves and refridgerators are not allowed.  Does anybody know about this?

Thanks!

As far as I know, the first part is correct. I'm concerned about it too, but I'm hoping the cold weather comes through and makes it not necessary along with breeze from open windows. How about some feedback from current students? Is it ever, like hot? Will A/C be missed, especially late Aug to Sept and April/May?
Don't know about the 2nd point but I think there are shared kitchens for each cluster.

This is true of a lot of the undergrad dorms and off campus appartments too, Ithaca's just not an A/C kind of town.  It can be bad the first two or three weeks in the fall and the last two or three weeks in the spring, but other then that its not really an issue.
Upenn 2010!

I think the room they showed us on the Hughes tour had a fridge. Though I'm not suprised about the no AC or the no microwaves rule (my undergrad had the same thing, but we could rent the school's insanely expensive microfridge for the year, and that was somehow okay).

From my perusal, I see a Cornell Law sweatshirt, t-shirt, hat, a couple of car stickers, and a mug. Cool stuff. Does the law school itself make anything we can/will get there at some point or...?
