I assume UChi1L is a Wally/Freely Give alias?

Absolutely not.  I would never say anything like that.  Please don't conflate me with that troll.

I'm currently sitting across from the 80 in a lonely hotel in (home state).  This is so depressing.

is your flight grounded or something?

i'm headed to CA tomorrow. the snow is supposed to be over by then but i remain skeptical....it's 44 degrees there now but NO SNOW. I CAN DRIVE MORE THAN FIVE MILES AN HOUR

No, I have an interview here.  I should be back by Friday.  I bet Hyde Park will be as depressing, but we'll see.

Good luck with CA.  I was talking to a former AP Stats classmate of yours, and he seemed pretty excited to spend time in SF with some friends.

On an unrelated note, has anyone here seen the Real Housewives of Orange County?  I love how there's not even any pretension about their gold digging.  Do these people realize how poorly they come off?  e.g., "I deserve the most luxriant Tahiti vacation ever and a beautiful guy who lavishes me.  I've been through too much anguish!"

ah, ap stats. i did that so i wouldn't have to take pre-calculus.

the real housewives of atlanta is better, though i've only been keeping up with the really ridiculous parts via www.dlisted.com.

good luck with your interview!

I know I asked this before, but any tips?  I'm trying to research some of the interviewers now, but I'm worried that the best I'll be able to will be: "Ah, arbitration.  We kinda did that in CivPro.  Well, at least we talked about it for a day.  So . . . ugh.  Cool?"

i don't think any legal employers ask you to actually apply law school knowledge EVER during 1L or 2L interviews. just be prepared to answer "why did you go to law school", "why did you pick chicago", "why do you want to work here", "what's your favorite class" and my all-time favorite "what's your biggest weakness". i hate that last one because it inevitably turns into how you can make some negative seem positive ("well i'm a perfectionist. so i'm hard on myself to produce the best work possible").

Dude, my interview was like 3 days ago.  Been there, done that.  And I can't imagine you breaking into song.  Maybe it's the laid-back deportment.

I know that some of you had Gersen, so perhaps you can explain to me why he has exams up but no memos or sample answers.  Am I supposed to guess as to what works and what doesn't?  It seems extremely unfair, though I guess it's a curve, so it's as unfair to everyone.

No battery for the religious girl and pork in 2005, right?  Battery requires intent.  None of that there.

Thinking about dropping sports law to take advanced crim.  Anyone have any thoughts?

I am in both. Can't you drop some other class instead? (Actually, I'm only in Advanced Crim if the first week entices me more than Crim Pro, and if Samaha scares me off with too much work/socratic.)

According to Henderson's Twitter, the average length of the Corporations exam was 17 pages.

I am so royally screwed.
Juicy: UChicago

It sounds so reasonable when you say it.
