No.  If you are worried if they received it, call on Monday and ask.  If they don't have it, you can give a credit card number to secure the spot   That's what I was planning to do anyway.

I'm abroad so mio madre had to cut the check, but I just checked their online status checker randomly at it said this:

Application Received: 11/02/06
Current Status: First Deposit Paid
Decision: Admitted

She was also worried since they hadn't cashed the check.

my deposit was deducted from my account today. I sent it in about 2 weeks ago.

call me paranoid, but i purposely sent an email to them, did not pick up their phone call so that they would leave a message, and used my cc, just to obtain "evidence" of putting down a deposit.

on another note...i am having a frustrating time with the financial aid office.  anybody else receive their aid packages yet?
