Speaking as someone who works in a lg LA law firm, I can tell you Loyola is definitely respected as a reputable, solid school. People are not going to look at you and say "well, why didn't you go to USC or UCLA?" from my admitedly limited experience.

It's true.  Loyola is extremely well connected in Los Angeles.  They have solid professors and many notable trial attorneys as alum including Mark Geragos, Gloria Allred, Mark Shapiro, and Johnnie COchran to name a few. 

I'm always seeing professors being consulted or quotedhere or there on court tv, in journals etc.  While it is true that the top percentage of students will have more opportunities, it is possible to become quite successful there even if you are not.
It's Official Loyola class of 2010!!

WL still pending, fingers crossed it would make for a much easier decision!
