A grant for law school???? Er ... Ohio Instructional Grant?

A grant for law school???? Er ... Ohio Instructional Grant?

So I just received an email saying my financial aid package for next year was updated, and lo and behold, I was offered a GRANT.

Now ... I thought there WERE NO grants for grad/law school??

It is the "Est. Ohio Instructional Grant" (I'm going to Cincinnati).

Ok ... I can't find ANY information on what this is.  I've always received just the "Ohio Instructional Grant," but I can't figure out for the life of me what "Est." means ... I tried "east" and still couldn't find anything.  There is no mention of this particular grant on my school's financial aid website or online anywhere that I could find.

I guess I could call and ask, but I don't want them to be like "oops, you can't get a grant!  silly grad student!"  lol (although I know if it were a mistake they would eventually take it away anyway!)

I hope it's for real, though - this is so exciting!  It isn't HUGE, but it's substantial enough to make me excited :-D

Anyone know about this?

Texas does grants for law students. Ohio probably just does a similar program, especially for in-state students. Are you in-state?

Yeah, I am in-state.

Woot for Ohio, then!
