Summer Reading List
« on: April 12, 2007, 03:21:58 PM »
I know there are a bunch of threads about books to read over the summer before 1L, but I can't find most of them without the Search button :(.  Does anyone have the links for these threads?  Or a few suggestions for some books to pick up?  I'm looking for something that isn't all too controversial (so maybe not PLS), but also isn't just descriptive and will actually help me prepare for law school (so maybe not One L).  Thanks!

You should go to the home page and type in reading lists and it will or should bring up some threads... Hope this helps ;D

I was browsing a thread a while ago and took down some suggestions that had good reviews:

"Getting to Maybe" - taking tests
"Law School Confidential"
Hornbooks
"One L"
"Law 101" - 1st year topics
Cornell Class of 2011 (deferring for a year!)

Read for pleasure over the summer. You have three years ahead of you (and your life) to do legal reading and there's a decent chance that some of these books will simply scare or confuse you.
