Are any of y'all who are already in Philadelphia interested in going to the Phillies-Braves game tomorrow?  I've got two awesome tickets that I can't use.  :(

hi people!

so school starts very soon, what is everybody doing?

i'm thinking if i should go ahead and buy study aids and textbooks, but experience tells me that i wouldn't touch them untill classes officially start anyway.
also been running around for a new laptop, totally clueless.

Dear people who are already in Philly,

I'm jealous.  :)

Also.. has anyone gone and checked out the bookstore offerings?  I know we don't get our section assignments until orientation or whatever, but all of this chatter about books has me antsy.  Are the first year books out?  Are they the same or different by section?  So many questions!

Yes, I'm getting excited.

You can kind-a sort-a check what books will be required for each section by looking up the website for the bookstore. Just enter Dept=Law, and Class=501 and section=001 (or something like that). It will show you the titles for that class.

Or, better yet, since the bookstore website is down 'to better serve the students': log on to Goat, course portal, textbook lists.

Oh!  Delightful.  I love it.  Muchas gracias.

Are you in Philly already or still waiting anxiously for move-date like me?  :)

I'll be leaving SF on Friday or Saturday, getting there on the 25th.

I like how each section has totally different books for the same classes, so we can't even try to buy them early from Amazon.

I noticed this as well.  Pretty anti-competitive, no?  Though, IIRC, we can get super-fast shipping from Amazon so long as we purchase our books asap once we find out our sections.  Or we can race to the bookstore to buy the used copies. or something.  we find out our sections during "registration" right?
