Journeyman, I am dumbfounded as to how you got into IU and W&L with your numbers. 155 LSAT and you applied to Vanderbilt? Honestly?

When I began telling all my friends I was going to UVA, I got a lot of "You're reallyl liberal, why the f*ck are you going to UVA?" But to be honest, I think it was pretty even. And I have no problem with diversity of opinion, hell, I date a conservative Republican

It is difference of opinions, not sameness, that sparks learning.

Iowa" and "Why Iowa" and "What's the deal with Iowa" threads than I can remember. Not sure if it qualifies as hate, really, but more like skepticism. People seem to hate it because they think it doesn't deserve to be ranked higher than their schools, which usually have higher LSAT scores. That qualifies as HATERATION....Add to that list, BYUCoxlessPair loves hating on the MormonsSo should I conclude that I am personally responsible for nearly 50% of all the law schools getting a raw deal on this board? Iowa and BYU suck. Sue me. I'd say closer to 35%

Every school lower than GW in the rankings (starting with, yes, Iowa)4. Texas ("Hi, I'm Brian Leiter, and I teach at a T16 - make that T18 - school!")5. All other schools right below GULC ("Go to a T14 or kill yourself!")6. Cornell ("Ithaca?!")7. GULC ("If you're not above the median, just drop out!")8. Duke ("I hate their basketball team, so their law school sucks!")9. Boalt ("They actually consider other stuff besides LSAT scores - ridiculous!")10. Penn ("Now we have to call it T5 instead of T6!")11. NYU ("I don't care what the rankings say, which faculty they hire, or what caliber of students they attract; my school is still better in every way!")12. Columbia/Chicago ("Go to HYS or kill yourself!")13. Yale ("Harvard's just as good! Really, I'd pick Harvard even if I got into Yale!")That would leave Harvard, Stanford, Michigan, Virginia, and Northwestern...sounds about right

There'd be no application process, since we'd already know which schools we were getting into. Just send the deposit check and show up in August.
