Detroit needs to go back to its roots

GM, Ford, Chrysler.  Getting cremed by Japs.  They need to get back to their roots, and do what Detroit does best.  Pump out some serious power.  As evident by all the SUV drivers, people don't really care about gas prices.

Now, the GTO, Impala, etc. are just embarassing.  Put venerable names on midsizes that wannabe Jap cars.  Utterly despicable.  Only the Mustang, with the 2005 retro design, is carrying on the Detroit legacy.

I have already written about my sadness over Buick's plan to dismantle the LeSabre and Park Avenue, and replace it with one flagship.  I think they should bring back the Grand National, with retro styling, and put Chevy's 6.0 Vortec in it.  now that would be sweet.
