Taking a year off

Part of me thinks that I should take a year off before starting law school, rather than going straight from undergrad. I am looking for any opinions about doing this and for those of you that did this what you did in your time off. For those of you who took time off are you glad you did it. I've considering interning, getting my masters, or just getting a regular job for a year. I know for sure that I want to go to law school, but sometimes I think it would be good for me to take a year off.

It was good for me to take a year off. I got a sense of perspective, and figured out I really did want to go to law school after all.

I thought this was such a great idea that I decided to triple it and take THREE years off to collect more degrees.
(OK.. so I actually never intended the law school thing.)

I know that it would be different for different people, but what do you think is the best use of your year off, masters, regular job, intern, ski bum...? I really don't want to take more than one year off.
