I was waitlisted at UF last year.  I sent a letter of continued interest and also went to meet with the dean of admissions, who was very indifferent and basically made me feel stupid for going to meet with him the first place,  and basically told me you do not stand a chance to get off the wait list because very few people do.

i am assuming you did not get in.

In state or out of state, but expecially in state.

Maybe theyre trying to recover from the slight bump down this year by tightening up their medians.  Is there any info on whether they will start decreasing class sizes as well?

Oops, no problem.

And you know damn well he did not get into UF after that experience. :)

in-state
I was kinda expecting not to get in, but that waitlist got my hopes high until I met with the admissions director.  Like many other schools, initially they admit a lot more students than they predict will attend, so in the end there is almost no need to pay a visit to the folks in the wait list.  UF is an excellent school (best law school in FL), and they get a ton of applicants in and out of state.

I actually went there some years ago.  It is a great school and I am surprised it took a tumble in the rankings.

They canceled and consolidated the part time program.  This brought down the medians considerably.
