Being Waitlisted sucks!

It sucks for us waitlisters to hold onto to something so strongly, for so long, knowing that we probably won't get our desired answer.

yes, it sucks because it allows the flicker of hope to remain, even though i know my freakin chances of getting off the waitlist are slim. and it has me doing my LOCI-dance. and worried about how i will have to explain myself since i've been asking people for extra recommendations, and it'll be like, thanks for helping me try if this doesn't work out.

nonetheless, good luck to all of us waitlisters. let's hope for some good news in may/june.

I think waiting to hear ANYTHING from 14 of the 15 schools you applied to sucks worse.

Being waitlisted does stink.  The good news is--there is a chance we'll get accepted to our dream schools.  All hope is not lost!

Do you have any other professors, family friends, or bosses to ask?

If I get WLed I plan to get LORs from the Chair of my Department (he has already offered his services), my PR professor last semester (she has already offered), and my current Entertainment Law professor (she pretty much created the Entertainment Law program at Stanford herself and I am rockin her class hard). Plus I hope to have all As again this semester.

Oh, and I plan to beg like a puppy looking for scraps!

Not really...I am out of school already so most of my professors probably wouldn't remember me anyway - damn public schools.
