George Mason!
« on: March 21, 2007, 07:13:24 PM »
Yes!

Got a call from George Mason today, accepted!  I am interested in economic law and thus really thrilled about getting into GMU.

I still have 17 schools to hear from, but GMU is in my top 3 and I will be celebrating tonight...sushi and drinks sounds good haha...

Anyway, just wanted to share, the waiting has been terrible, as everyone will agree...

Great news.  George Mason is a very unique school for it's rank because of conservative contacts.  They just had a Supreme Court clerk.

Thanks.  GMU does seem to be an up-and-comer and is one of my top choices despite other schools being ranked higher.  If any current or wannabe GMU students happen to read this and have insight regarding curriculum, facilities, overall experience, please post.

I am conservative, and so far I'm in at Mason for PT and American-WCL for FT.  I'm worried the political atmosphere at WCL might make me uncomfortable.  Also, I might be interested in working in conservative politics after graduation.  Any thoughts on what school I should go to?

I am also in at American, and although I still have a lot of schools to hear from, American and GMU are in my top 5.  I am leaning towards GMU because of the strong economic law program.  American is known for its international law, which is also cool...

Just my opinion, but stuff like the "political atmosphere" of a school doesn't really concern me.  I will base my decision on the academics...
