LOR question
« on: September 13, 2004, 05:56:42 PM »
is it ok to get an LOR from a colleague and not someone superior to you? i'm trying to get together 3 recs for my LSDAS file. I've been out of undergrad for a while, but I'm going to try to get one from an English professor from my Yale days. I'm also going to try and get one from an art professor from my grad school days at Columbia which should not be a problem at all (do you think a rec from an art professor is bad?). and then for the third one, i was going to ask a friend who i have worked with on a few projects - the nature of my work with her was freelance, not consistent,  and she was technically my director, but she's also my great friend and former roomate and working with her was more of an equal collaboration...do you think this would be too wierd and unacceptable?
