Diagnostic Test Movitation!

Was anyone else deathly afraid to take their first real-timed test? I keep putting it off.

Tips for dealing with it?

Thanks

You just have to suck it up and do it. I took mine on a whim. I was watching TV/dicking around on the internet when I saw something about the LSAT or law school or something. Broke out the timer and some pencils and off I went. No time like the present.

Grow a pair and get on with it.

Repeat the following mantra
This is a starting point. I want to X score and with X score I'm only X points away!

Yes, this is a bit pollyanna-ish, but it got me through.

Did it work (did you meet your goal?)

I procrastinated because I had always heard that you generally can only increase around 10 points.  I was so scared that I would be in the 140's that I didnt want to freak myself out.  I took a course and the first three weeks were each on one of the sections.  After 3 weeks I took my first practice test and it was a 159.  I think its okay to get to know the fundamentals first but a lot of people just take one cold.
