If you havent heard by now...

If you haven't heard by your reach schools by now, is it safe to assume a ding is coming?

depends on how late you applied and whether you were deferred.

See, I don't think so.  It's easier to say someone is a rejection than an acceptance sometimes... So maybe it just takes longer to hear back or maybe I'm just praying I don't get dinged from Chicago-Kent.

Yes, it's safe to assume that. Trust me, no one will be harmed by this assumption.

Unless they send seat-deposit money based on that assumption, and then the assumption proves wrong. The result of which will be a very elated, but $300 poorer, law school applicant.

That said, I assume all my apps to be rejections so that I'm pleasantly surprised if one happens not to be.

I'm thinking that my last school might be a ding, but it could be an acceptance.  However, I'm nowhere near an auto-admit, so it'll be a late acceptance, after they realize that they didn't get as many seat deposits as they'd like.  Since this won't happen until late April, early May, I am going to have to put down a deposit at my #2 just in case #1 decides they don't need me at all.
It's been brought to my attention that boss is my favorite poster  :-*

Personally I think that everyone on this board overanalyzes everything.

I haven't heard from my reach schools yet, but I haven't heard from two of my autoadmit schools. I don't know what it means. Oh, well, at least my top choice for now does not make you pay a seat deposit so I'm not out any money (For once!)

Journeyman, I am dumbfounded as to how you got into IU and W&L with your numbers. 155 LSAT and you applied to Vanderbilt? Honestly?
